Akwa Ibom Progressive Assembly endorses Pastor Umo Eno
A sociopolitical group in the state, Akwa Ibom Progressive Assembly has given its full and undiluted support to Pastor Umo Eno, whom the Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has identified as his successor, describing Umo Eno as a tested and trusted manager of resources, a successful businessman and an established entrepreneur whose wealth of knowledge is needed at this point in the State to sustain the peace and development.
This was contained in the solidarity message to Pastor Umo Eno, jointly signed by the Director General of the group, Pastor John Job, Secretary, Prince Kufre Columbus and Chairman of the National Advisory Council, Hon. Godwin Udom and made available to newsmen.
According to the solidarity message, the Akwa Ibom Progressive Assembly believes that Governor Udom’s choice of Pastor Umo Eno as his successor is in strict adherence to God’s direction. The statement which reads in part “We therefore give our total support and agree to mobilise the state for the actualization of his candidacy and success in the general election”, the message read.
The association believes that Pastor Umo Eno is the right man for the job and as such deserves all the support he can get from people who mean well for Akwa Ibom State stressing” he who the cap fits, let him wear”.
The group expressed optimism that “as a servant of God, shall as Governor ensure that godliness with contentment prevails in the state just like his predecessor Governor Udom Emmanuel”.
Akwa Ibom Progressive Assembly urged Pastor Umo Eno to remain resolute as progress minded Akwa Ibom people were behind his aspiration. “We urge you to stand strong as we call on the progressive minded and peace loving Akwa Ibomites to queue and support you as the next Governor of Akwa Ibom State”.
