Akwa Ibom: Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources Inspects International Worship Center, Ibom Luxury Estate
In line with his commitments to support the completion agenda of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, the Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources – Pastor Umo Eno today visited the International Worship Centre and the Ibom Luxury Estate to have a first hand information on the progress of work at the sites.
Pastor Umo Eno who assumed duty yesterday in the Lands and Water Resources Ministry demonstrated his avowed commitment to hit the ground running by familiarization and inspection of government projects under his ministry.
Explaining the state of work at the site, the site manager of the International Worship Centre – Engr Charles Okorie said the structural work is in its advance stage adding that but for COVID 19 which slowed down the pace of work in 2020, it would have gone beyond its present stage.
Engr Okorie who listed the significant features of the edifice, noted that when completed would be one of the best in the African region.
In his remarks, the Commissioner noted that the project when completed, in addition to the 21 Storey Smart building in the area, would give a unique easthetic ambience and make the area a new face of Akwa Ibom State.
He therefore urged the contractor to ensure completion of the project according to specification.
The Commissioner who also visited the Ibom Luxury Estate, said efforts will be made to increase the pace of work for the benefit of Akwa Ibom people.
He urged everyone to continue supporting and praying for the Governor Udom Emmanuel led administration inorder to continue enjoying the numerous benefits of good governance.
