World Day of Social Justice 2022: Groups float Stakeholders Summit on Social Justice
In commeration of World Day of Social Justice 2022, Drum Major for Peace in partnership with Earthspring International & BALSDA are set to float Stakeholders Summit on Social Justice
According to a release by the organisers the event which is endorsed by Global Peace Foundation is scheduled to take place on 17th February 2022 at Ladi Kwali International Conference Hall, Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria is tagged: “The Intentional Approach to Nation Building and Sustainable Peace.”

The Summit brings together Thought-leaders, politicians, law enforcement agencies, civil society organisations, Non Governmental Organisations, faith-based organisations (FBOs) and the Media to highlight some of the most critical social justice issues of our time as it calls on everyone to stand up and contribute a part in changing our social justice narrative in society and the world at large.
The main objectives of the summit are as follow:
1. To promote advocacy for culture of human rights tolerance and responsible freedom in the society.
2. To galvanize support for the promotion of sustainable development goals (SDGs) especially goal 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions).
3. To mobilise stakeholders for policy formation that addresses various issues of inequality, poverty, human right abuses, professionalism and adherence to rule of law and gender balancing in governance, amongst others.
4. To sensitise the general public on the need to speak up and speak out against injustices and create platforms for the continuous social engagement with the Social Justice gate-keepers.
5. To complement the efforts of Government and other relevant agencies in promoting social justice.
