Fraud allegations: Figures in 2019 financial report were typographical errors
The story of multi-billion naira fraud allegation, accusing the Akwa Ibom State Government of extra budgetary expenditures in the 2019 budget dominated the week under review.
Briefing the press in Uyo, the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr Ini Ememobong insisted that, in making the fraud allegations, the reporter relied on the previous Accountant General report which was defectives because of some coding and typographical errors which was later corrected.
