SSG’s wife, Mrs Enobong Ekuwem fetes Mbo women
The wife of Akwa Ibom SSG has celebrated Christmas and New Year season with Mbo women
-Mrs Enobong Ekuwem urged them to imbibe virtues of peace, love during the Yuletide
The wife of the Secretary to Akwa Ibom State Government, Mrs Enobong Emmanuel Ekuwem, has called on women to imbibe the virtues of peace, love, tolerance and humility in all spheres of life, as exemplified by Jesus Christ especially during these Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Mrs Ekuwem made the call
on Tuesday, December 29,2020 while donating rice, cow, cash and other items to the women of Mbo Local Government Area
at Methodist Primary School, Enwang, the headquarters of Mbo.
According to her, the gesture were meant to mark this year’s Christmas and New Year celebrations and to extend a hand of friendship to the women.
“I am here to share love with the women of Mbo.Let’s all be our brothers keepers.Let’s be vigilant and look after each other.Let’s prevent insecurity.Let’s open our eyes to know who is our neighbour. Let’s take care of each other and let’s not destroy property and human lives,” she advised.

Mrs Ekuwem, who is the founder of Blossom Women for Martha Udom Emmanuel urged Mbo women to be resolute in their support to the administration of the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel.
The SSG’s wife pledged her resolve to always put smiles on the faces of women by sharing what ever God has blesses her with, with the women.
She stressed the need of Mbo women to keep praying for the well-being of Governor Udom Emmanuel and wife, Dr. (Mrs) Martha Udom Emmanuel as well as all the government functionaries.
According to her, Mbo women have every reason to be happy with the administration of Governor Emmanuel especially because of Ibom Deep Seaport sited in Mbo that will create jobs for the teeming youths in Mbo in particular and Akwa Ibom State in general.
Describing Governor Emmanuel as Mr industrialist, Mrs Ekuwem urged Mbo women to encourage their children to position themselves by acquiring relevant skills which will give them the advantage of emerging opportunities in the seaport.
While expressing optimism that coronavirus will pass away in no distant time, Mrs Ekuwem however used the opportunity to plead with the women of Mbo to always wash their hands especially when returning from market and farm and cultivate the habit of wearing of face mask when in a public gathering or communicating with one another to prevent themselves and family against contacting the virus.
“This COVID-19 that has been with us for many months now has consumed a lot of lives and we can’t afford to loose our people any longer.So, please let’s prevent ourselves from contacting this sickness,” she stated.

In their separate remarks, the Coordinator, Blossom Women for Martha Udom Emmanuel, Mbo Chapter, Hon (Mrs) Hannah Etifit; Secretary, Mbo Stakeholders Women, Mrs Ekaette Jacob and the wife of the President-General, Oron Union, Mrs Comfort Ante as well as the Coincillor, Uda Ward 1, Hon (Mrs) Veronica Eyo Bassey, among others thanked Mrs Enobong Ekuwem for the gesture, which they described as unprecedented and prayed God to bless her.
Describing Mrs Ekuwem as a virtuous woman, the women thanked Governor Udom Emmanuel for appointing Dr Emmanuel Ekuwem as the Secretary to the State Government and pledged their unflinching support to Udom Emmanuel led-administration.
