SSANU, NASU have ended their 6-month industrial action following a meeting with the education minister

After a brief meeting with the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, in Abuja on Saturday, the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) and the Non-Academic Staff Union of Allied and Education Institutions (NASU) have decided to call off their strikes.
According to Channel Television, the suspension is anticipated to begin on Wednesday.

The Federal Government has pledged N50 billion, to pay earned allowances for the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), the Non-Academic Staff Union of Allied and Education Institutions, and Academic Staff Union of Universities members, ASUU, according to the Minister of Education.
The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU), the Non-Academic Staff Union of Allied and Education Institutions, and Academic Staff Union of Universities members, ASUU, have been on strike for about six months now halting the university system in Nigeria.
