Senate President Lawan, NASS members, Governor Emmanuel ors to grace Sen Albert’s Thanksgiving Service, Saturday 29
Senator Bassey Albert Akpan is set to host a thanksgiving service on Saturday, January 29, 2022 with the theme, “Lord We Are Grateful”.
The Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Organization, a group pioneering the 2023 governorship aspirant of Senator Albert made this known on Thursday in a press briefing held at the Akwa Ubok Abasi Campaign Office, Edet Akpan Avenue, Uyo.
According to the Campaign Chairman, His Eminence Bishop Andrew Unwanta, Senator Albert has seen the powerful hand of God in all facets of his life.
He observed that from childhood to his teenage age, adulthood and career as a banker and then his foray into politics, OBA has been greatly favoured by God as a finance commissioner, the chairman of the inter-ministerial direct labour committee during the Godswill Akpabio administration and as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Bishop Unwanta said the thanksgiving service shall have in attendance the President of the Senate, Distinguished Senator Ahmed Lawan, together with other principal officers of the 9th Senate and the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, His Excellency Mr Udom Emmanuel.
While he said Governor Udom Emmanuel shall commission the Bassey Albert Multipurpose Recreational Centre, he said the Senate President, Ahmed Lawan would Commission the 1.2 kilometer Road in Ifa Ikot Akpan constructed by Senator Bassey Albert.
The organization used the occasion to invite members of the Akwa Ibom State executive council, the political class, members of the Peoples Democratic Party, public functionaries and others to join the Senator in thanking God for His grace upon him.
