Revealed: I was in bondage at Enyimba FC – Mfon Udoh
Former Enyimba forward, Mfon Udo has said he was in bondage with his former club side, Eyimba FC of Aba.
Mfon Udo revealed in an Abu Azeez podcast
Mfon Udo: “I was in bondage at Enyimba, they owed me salaries for several months and when a better offer came for me in Tunisia that I would have earned $30,000 dollars a month, Enyimba refused to let me go, claiming the transfer fee was too small yet I was earning penny with them. They frustrated me till I wasn’t happy anymore at the club which affected my performance on the pitch.”
An Enyimba FC Official who replied Mfon Udoh’s statement about the club said: “Mfon was highest paid player during his time. Former Enyimba managements protected Mfon like their child. I expected him to tell the world the truth, his medical condition of which I’m privileged to know all that lead to cancellations of contracts he secured in two different North African countries, the medical reports the clubs sent are still within reach.”
