Polytechnic Development: Kaura-Namoda Rector visits Ukana
The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Kaura-Namoda, Zamfara State, Engr. Dr. Yahaya Muhammed Bande yesterday visited the Federal Polytechnic Ukana in Akwa Ibom State to explore possible areas of collaboration for the development of the two institutions.
Receiving the august visitor, the Rector of the Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, Dr. Uduak Sunday Ukekpe appreciated Dr. Bande for the visit and expressed the readiness of FEDPOUKA to collaborate and partner sister institutions in driving the development process of the Polytechnic.
The two Polytechnic bosses discussions centered on exchange of experiences and ideas on Polytechnic administration, areas of coorperation, national issues as regards the Polytechnic sector and on how to move the two Polytechnics forward.
It could be recalled that the Federal Polytechnic,Kaura Namoda is a far older Polytechnic in the country far more than Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, however, both Rectors came on board about the same time with the Rector, Federal Polytechnic,Ukana assuming office a few months before his Kaura Namoda counterpart. Dr Ukekpe had once visited Federal Polytechnic, Kaura Namoda on a re-accreditaion exercise in 2011.
Highpoint of the visit witnessed a tour of the main campus of the Federal Polytechnic, Ukana.
