Pillar of Eternal Life Ministry ordains new elders
The Easter Sunday Celebration at the Pillar Of Eternal Life Ministry ,Ikot Ekpene , Akwa Ibom State, was crowned with the ordination of 6 elders into the vineyard of God .It was indeed a day filled with joy and jubilation.
Preaching during the Easter/ Ordination Service ,the senior pastor of the church ,Apostle (Barr) Bassey J Ndaeyo on the topic ” Resurrection of Christ and Ordination ” urged Christians to hold tenaciously the victory over the grave that Christ has given to them and accept their place in eternty and be saved.
Apostle Ndaeyo posited that Christ paid our debt, but His sacrifice on the cross means nothing if He possesses no power over the grave. According to him,In vanquishing evil and death, the Lord made our salvation possible. He maintained that Jesus resurrection proved He was able to remove sin and its penalty. He hinted that if Christ remained dead, it would have meant accepting the opposite – that believers are still in sin. And the inevitable end of a sinful life is death.
The legal luminary cum clergy went further to elucidate using the book of Daniel 3:23-25 , that the fourth person in the fire which was the person of the “Angel of God” symbolizes the fourth month, declaring the month of April as a month of “Supernatural Help”.
Apostle Ndaeyo who conducted the Ordination laid emphasis on “Gods Call” stating that God can call a man regardless of his background citing his scriptures from Heb 5:4-11.
While admonishing the new elders, he said they would be held accountable for the wrong they commit, accordingly, they should lead exemplary lives worthy of emulation.
Apostle Ndaeyo told them to hold fast to the faith and avoid being double-tongued, not given to wine ,nor greed of filthy lucre.
He added that they must not allow themselves to be misled but rather intensify evangelism in the area to win lost souls to Christ.
He charged everyone to remain blameless and wait for the second coming of Christ who will crown the righteous for their good work.
