Pst Umoh Eno: I see my appointment as opportunity to give my best in service
The Akwa Ibom State Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Pastor Umoh Eno has described his appointment into the state executive council as an opportunity to put in the best of service to the state.
The Commissioner who stated this during the occasion of his Three-in-One Thanksgiving service on Saturday, 25th September 2021 commended the State Governor, Mr Udom Gabriel Emmanuel for giving him the opportunity to serve in his cabinet.
“Your Excellency, Governor Udom Emmanuel, you are a man of excellence Service.
“I see my appointment as an opportunity for me to put in my best in service.
“Your Excellency, You have looked beyond your personal gains to ensure Akwa Ibom is industrialized, peaceful and secure unlike how it was some years ago.
“I sincerely cherished your leadership virtues because you are a compassionate man,” Pastor Umoh Eno said.
The event which took place at the Commissioner’s hometown, Ikot Ekpene Udo, Nsit Ubium Local Government Area, Akwa Ibom State is in commemoration of the one year memorial of the mother of the Honourable Commissioner, 35 years marriage anniversary and his appointment into the State Executive Council by Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Meanwhile, Governor Udom Emmanuel in his good will message described Pastor Umoh Eno as one of the Commissioners with capacity.
Emmanuel said Umoh Eno is one of the members of his cabinet that is hard working and always delivered on targets.
The Governor refuted the insinuations in some quarters that his Pastor Umoh Eno, lobbied for his appointment to the State Executive Council while serving as Secretary of the Akwa Ibom Christian Assembly, ACA.
Pastor Umoh Eno was appointed by Mr. Emmanuel because of his capacity and an amazing presentation he gave during an Exco retreat in 2015.
In her remarks, the Commissioner’s wife, Pst Mrs Patience Eno, thanked God for his mercies in her marriage in the past 35 years stressing that it would not have been easy without the grace of God in the home.
“In this marriage of 35 years, If not for God, we won’t be standing here today. God started the journey with us and ONLY GOD has kept us,” she noted.
Also speaking, the Village Head of Ikot Ekpene Udo, thanked Governor Emmanuel for appointing their son into the state executive council and for showing love to Nsit Ubium people.
“Your Excellency, You were here sometimes last year and, you witnessed that the entire community of Ikot Ekpene Udo was in total darkness. And, today, there is light in Ikot Ekpene Udo.
“Your Excellency, with all the lofty deeds you have done, I stand here to say you are a shining example of what greatness is all about”
The event which witnessed harvest of praises to God for his mercy to the family was well attended by people from all walks of life.
The Akwa Ibom State First Lady, Dr. Mrs. Martha Udom Emmanuel and the Wife of the Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Pastor Patience Eno in an act of thanksgiving, displayed new dance steps.
