According to the group’s Coordinator General and anchor of the Solemn assembly, Prince Bartholomew Ekpenyong, the decision to meet was in recognition and celebration of what God used them, as foot soldiers, to do during the 2023 Senatorial election and to also pray for the Senate President, Distinguished Senator Godswill Akpabio.
“We decided to come together as a group to pray for our dear Senate President and to foster unity and togetherness amongst us as the closest people to the grassroot, and to strategize further on ways and means of expanding the support base of the Senate President”, Prince Ekpenyong said.
Also speaking at the event, the group’s Adviser, Hon. Oscar Udom, enjoined the Coordinators to believe in the group’s unity and always remember to pray for the uncommon Leader, the Senate President. He added that God’s blessings await them as the Senate President is a promise keeper and transformational Leader who will remember their unflinching steadfastness by rewarding them through employments, appointment or empowerment.
