Obot Akara Traditional Rulers screened for prostate, others
Ikot Ekpene and Obot Akara Partnership Project (IKOPP), a non-governmental/community-development-based organization took their 3rd free medical outreach to the traditional institution in Obot Akara Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
The Health Care Awareness catered for the Paramount Ruler, Clan Heads, Village Heads, Village Chairmen and their spouses in the areas of prostate status, blood sugar/kidney level, blood pressure and general physical examination by a team of reputable medics.
Conducting the flag-off, the Executive Chairman, Obot Akara Local Government Area, Lady Agnes Udoewenwen commended the effort of the organization for reaching out to the Royal fathers who are the custodians of our tradition, stating that efforts like that of IKOPP rekindles hope and will contribute greatly to the longevity of the traditional institution in the area.
In his remark, the Principal of Ikot Ekpene and Obot Akara Partnership Project, Prince Samuel Ukut stated the resolve of the organization towards continually offering help within available resources towards making our communities better.
He expressed satisfaction over the robust working relationship the organization has enjoyed from the Obot Akara Council, commending the receptiveness of the Council’s leadership.
For the traditional institution in Obot Akara Local Government Area, October 2, 2021 will remain memorable because of the helping hand extended by IKOPP.
