Nyaetok Floats Bible Quiz Competition @ 60
A renowned architect and businessman, Arc. Ezekiel Nyaetok will come November 1, 2023 organize a Bible Quiz Competition for students as part of activities to mark his 60th birthday celebration in Akwa Ibom.
Briefing journalists recently in Uyo, Arc. Ezekiel Nyaetok hinted that Winners at different stages of the competition will smile home with millions of Naira, adding that God’s benevolence on his life, over the years has been remarkable, hence his decision to give back to the society.
Nyaetok who harbours deep commitment to the youth, as a mentor and role model, said he conceived the idea of the Bible Quiz Competition as a measure to challenge them to return to the godly foundation, of which he noted remains the best approach to repositioning them.
The competition, according to him, seeks to select at least 20 contestants from each of the three Senatorial Districts in Akwa Ibom State, out of which, the best-performing will be awarded scholarships.
Speaking further, Nyaetok, said essence of the competition is to stimulate and develop youth interest in reading and studying the scriptures, to the end of ultimately steering them in the right spiritual direction.
The Qualification to participate in the competition will be the ability to recite at least 20 passages from the Bible with references and going on to recite as many more as they can in the subsequent stages of the competition until the star winner emerges.
He explained further that those that recite the highest number of Bible passages in the three categories will be rewarded with cash prizes to serve as scholarships that will aid them in their future educational pursuits.
Winners at the tertiary level will go home with N50,000.00 each, while winners at the secondary and primary school levels will go home with N30,000.00 and N20,000.00 each, respectively.
“I actually wish I could target the indigent students, because it will be sad, and indeed double jeopardy, if your parents don’t have money, and you don’t have God!” Nyaetok stated.
Nyaetok wished his effort in organising the competition, will stimulate government, groups and well-meaning individuals to identify with and key into the objective of helping re-instill godly values amongst our youths, stressing that such will provide the foundation today, for a godly society tomorrow.
