NURTW Essien Udim Caretaker Committee inaugurated
The State Chairman, National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Akwa Ibom State , Obong Uwem Imo Inyang, has charged members of the Union in Essien Udim Local Government Area to be peaceful, law-abiding, and civil in the discharge of their assigned duties.
The Union leader gave this charge in his office in Uyo while inaugurating a caretaker committee of the NURTW in Essien Udim Local Government Area.
He said peace, civility, and compliance with the laws are the major hallmark of his administration and charge members of the Union at all levels to abide by it.
Obong Uwem Imo Inyang, commended the executive chairman of Essien Udim Local Government Area, Mr. Anthony Luke for his strives towards peacebuilding, youth development, and general development of Essien Udim Local Government Area.
He maintained that the chairman’s partnership with the Union will help develop the transport sub-sector in Essien Udim, create employment opportunities for the youths and also shore up the revenue profile of the Local Government Council.

The Chairman of the NURTW Caretaker Committee for Essien Udim,Comrade Sunday Akpan in his acceptance speech, pledged the determination of members of the Committee to work together to justify the confidence reposed in them.
He thanked the Chairman of Essien Udim Local Government Area, Mr Anthony Luke and the State Chairman of Nation Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Obong Uwem Imo Inyang for finding them worthy to serve their Local Government and the Union.
