Nigerians ask Governor Emmanuel to join presidential race in 2023
As the search for the next president continues, Nigerians have urged the Akwa Ibom State Governor, Mr. Udom Emmanuel to declare interest to contest for the number one seat of the nation.
The call was made due to the excellent performance of the governor in Akwa Ibom State by Nigerians residing in different parts of the country and in diaspora during a live interactive Radio Programme Brekete Family show on Human Rights Radio.
Different callers on the programme proposed the combination of Borono State Governor Prof. Zulum and Udom Udom Emmanuel Presidential ticket in 2023 due to the duo’s outstanding performance as Governors in their different States.
Governor Emmanuel was particularly applauded for his administration’s industrialization drive and especially the establishment of Ibom Air and various cottage industries in the state.
The presenter of the Radio Programme, Ordinary President Ahmed noted that Governor Emmanuel was invited to the programme due to his track record of performance as the chief servant of Akwa Ibom State adding that the governor has the credibility to appear in the programme.
A caller from Germany said Governor Emmanuel is the type of President Nigerians need as the successor to President Muhammedu Buhari in 2023 due to the testimonies of his administration’s performance in his state.
He described the governor as a creative, innovative, intelligent and enterprising young Nigerian who can move the nation forward.
The Caller enjoined the governor to carry the youths of his state along especially the unemployed graduates in the state.
Another caller commended Governor Emmanuel for transforming Akwa Ibom State from a Civil Service State to an industrial driving state through the different programmes put in place in the Akwa Ibom State.
He urged the governor not to step forward and declare for Presidency in 2023 as Nigerians need “a President like him””.
For a veteran Nollywood Actor, Chief Francis Duru, the Governor is a reference point for the youths of Nigeria and lauded the governor’s “excellence performance” in his state. He commended the Governor for his contributions to the creative industries and Nolly in general.
For Dr Benard Balogun who called in from Abuja, the Governor is a humble and submissive gentleman who respect people not minding their social status.
He stressed that the governor has demonstrated humility and accountability in handling certain critical issues in his state which culminated in the enduring peace and numerous achievement he recorded in Akwa Ibom State.
For Mrs Felicia, the Governor is already a blessed man and promised to continue to pray for the governor to succeed in his administration and beyond.
