As the investigation into the alleged missing N40 billion continues the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Senator Godswill Akpabio has honoured the invitation of the House of Representatives Committee investigating the allegation.
Senator Akpabio was summoned to appear before the investigative panel last week to answer to some allegations leveled against him by the erstwhile NDDC MD, Joi Nunieh during her testimony last week.
Senator Akpabio restated that since the account of NDDC is domiciled with the Central Bank of Nigeria, there is nowhere 40 billion naira would have missed without trace.
He stated that has no presidential ambition as alleged by the former NDDC MD
On the allegation that he gave oath of secrecy to members of the board, the Minister Akpabio dismissed the allegation as false from the pit of hell,adding that he never issued any oath to anybody in NDDC.
He also stated that he only approved three contracts for the commission which include the procurement of forensic auditor, purchase of veihcles procurement of emergency COVID-19 materials
