Medical Outreach: Pastor Umo Eno commends partners’ efforts over SDGs
Akwa Ibom State 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Umo Eno has commended the ongoing medical outreach in Nsit Ubium Local Government Area targeted at the Sustainable Development Goal 3, “Ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages.”
The medical outreach is being organised by Isaiah’s Hope Medical Outreach and powered by NIGCOMSAT and One2One, with support from Pastor Umo Eno.
Speaking at Cottage Hospital, Ikot Ekpene Udo, venue of the exercise, Pastor Eno harped on the importance of good health for a functional society reiterating that health is one of the greatest assets of man.
The governorship hopeful noted that ensuring healthy lives and promoting well-being for all at all ages, as stipulated by the SDG 3, requires partnership of individuals, groups, NGOs and others with government, stressing that government’s efforts should be complemented as demonstrated by Isaiah’s Hope Medical Outreach and partners.
He stated that the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration has made huge investments in the health sector which, according to him must be encouraged, supported and continued to achieve SDG 3.
Pastor Eno commended Dr. Ubong Isaiah Udonyen, a son of Nsit Ubium for attracting the service to his hometown, and urged people of the area to always pray and support their children to enable them attract good things back home.
For the records, Dr. Ubong Udonyen is the son of late Ambassador Isaiah Jackson Udonyen, former Nigerian Ambassador to Mozambique, Mauritius and Swaziland currently known as Eswatini in Southern Africa.
