Mbikpong Ikot Edim: Aniekan Uko crosses over with kinsmen
… Promises a rewarding 2021.

For the loving and amiable people of Mbikpong Ikot Edim, it was a unique and commendable way of ushering in the year 2021 as the member representing Ibesikpo Asutan State Constituency, Rt. Hon.Elder. Aniekan Uko a son of the soil hosted his kinsmen in a cross-over party at his residence, where he thanked God for preserving their lives and with a promise for a better and rewarding 2021.
Speaking at his Royal Gate residence, the cerebral representative said for the goodness of the Lord upon their lives, despite a troubling 2020 clouded by health and security challenges, it was necessary to gather and tell God thank you.
“I decided to gather us so that we tell God thank you. You can attest to the fact that the year 2020 will ever remain green and indelible in the minds of people all over the world considering the dreaded disease and all the insecurity challenges we have faced.
It is not what we eat and drink here that matters because it can be afforded by anybody, but rather the unity of gathering together as a village to tell the Almighty God thank you for seeing us through a year as turbulent 2020″he added.
The vocal lawmaker used the opportunity to thank His Excellency, Udom Emmanuel for the many developmental project he has approved for the area for the new year and urged the people to support the completion agenda of the Governor.
Elder Uko while thanking the people for coming out enmass to cross over to 2021 in his residence assured his kinsmen of effective and qualitative representation in the Hallowed Chamber of AKHA.
In his new year message the Village Head, Chief(Pastor) John Okon Etim thanked the member for being that voice they bargained for in the AKAHA as well as always being sensitive to the plight of his people especially the recent which was lighting up the community with electricity for Xmas.
For the Clegy royal father, the Lord has done great things to the village of Mbikpong Ikot Edim by blessing the village through Aniekan Uko and warned all present to respect constituted authorities which for him is a spice for development.
Also speaking, the Obong Mkparawa Mbikpong Ikot Edim, Comrade Udeme Offiong thanked the lawmaker for the cross over party, describing it as a sign of a better 2021.
The time was refreshing as the easy going parliamentarian took to the dancing floor with good dancing steps accompanied by his lovely wife Ememobong and the elated community as they thanked God for His benevolence for the year 2020.
