Lesotho Coach, Leslie Notsi admits getting massive confidence to perform well subsequently
Head Couch of Lesotho senior national football team, Crocodile, Leslie Notsi has admitted that he is quite satisfied with the 1-1 draw game which his side played against the host Super Eagles of Nigeria in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital city on Wednesday evening in their second game of the world cup qualifying series.
Fielding questions from journalists shortly after the match played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, Coach Leslie Notsi expressed satisfaction that his team put up a great fight against a gigantic country like Nigeria.
“Honestly, I’m so happy about the result that we’ve just recorded in Nigeria today. I’m quite satisfied playing draw at the end of 90 minutes here. For us it’s a huge result against a big country like Nigeria with a plethora of stars abroad,” said coach Notsi
“We enjoyed playing against of of the best teams in the continent today and I’m glad my team played to my instructions. We played to our strength and we are happy about the result eventually,” Coach Notsi continued.
“In today’s game, I must confessed that we’ve learned a lot of lessons, which will really help us to progress further in the qualifying round and I hope that we will go further in the series. We need to surpass our best performance in our world cup bid,” he said.
“It’s unfortunate that we lost our first game 0-1 against Côte D’Ivoire and came here to put up a huge fight, leading to this good result for us today. I’m glad my boys decided to put the bad result of our first qualifying game behind us and resolved to forge ahead in the direction of coming up again,” he added.
Coach Leslie Notsi admitted that the unbelievable result that his team has pulled in Nigeria, has given them massive confidence, encouragement and self believe to accomplish more good results in the series.
