War against insecurity in Essien Udim gets boost as governor’s aides restate commitment
-The Chairman, Essien Udim Local Government Council, Mr Anthony Luke has received a boost in the fight against insecurity in the area.
-The College of Aides to Governor Udom Emmanuel has commended Essien Udim council boss for his commitment to security of life and property of the people of the area.
The group resolved to partner the Chairman on security and socio-economic development of the area, noting that they are determined to leave lasting legacies
The Chairman, Essien Udim Local Government Council, Mr. Anthony Luke has assured Aides of Governor Udom Emmanuel of collaborative governance in the fight against insecurity in the area.
The Council boss who gave the assurance when the College of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s Aides from Essien Udim paid him courtesy visit today, 4th March 2021, thanked body for their support during the last local government elections which saw his emergence as Executive chairman of the Council and also expressed gratitude to the Governor for recognising Essien Udim with the appointment of aides.
Luke noted that their position as personal aides to the governor is very strategic to the development of the area, adding that his government is opened to their advice and suggestions toward the development of Essien Udim.
“No government has ever succeeded in isolation. The doors of my office are always opened for every Essien Udim person any time, any day.
“I’ve instructed all my aides and people working with to ensure that governor’s aides are always invited to any event we have or other programmes of the local government,” the Chairman stressed.
On security, the Chairman told his visitors that his administration is fully commited to the security of lives and property of the people of Essien Udim, streesing that his administration is not perturbed by activities of criminals in the fight against insecurity.
According to the Council boss, the secuirty agents are working hard in their investigation to unravel the mystery behind the recent attacks on police facilities in the area and also bring the pepertrators to justice.
He thanked Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel for his commitment to ensuring peace and tranquility in the state, adding that his administration will continue to compliment efforts of the governor by ensuring that there is peace in the rural areas.
In his remarks, the Dean, College of Governor Emmanuel’s Aides, Hon Prince Nsini Umanah, commended the Chairman for his efforts in restoring peace and sanity to the area through his fearless and courageous leadership, maintaining that the Chairman has shown leadership in managing the security situation in the area.

The governor’s aides vehemently condemned the recent invasion of the Divisional Police Station in the area and assured the Council of their unalloyed support and commitment to sustain the war against insecurity in the area.
The group posited that the behaviour of the hoodlums is strange and alien to Essien Udim people while encouraging the Chairman to remain calm and focus on delivering dividents of democracy to the people.
They commended the Chairman for enhancing the bond of love among major stakeholders of Essien Udim through his consultative leadership style and urged him to sustain the existing synergy between the member representing Essien Udim, Barr Esse G. Umoh; Commissioner for Trade and Investment, Barr Prince Ukpong Akpabio 11 and his office for the development of Essien Udim
