Insecurity in Akwa Ibom: Gunmen strike police station in Ini
The spate of insecurity in Akwa Ibom State has taken a widespread dimension as gunmen suspected to be hoodlums local Independent People of Biafra, IPOB, have continued to strike security formations, especially police stations in the state.
The latest is the attack on a police station in Odoro Ikpe, the headquarters of INI Local Government Area, a boundary local government with Abia State.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday, 8th May, 2021.
About six policemen were feared dead.
