-Comrade Ini Ememobong applauds team spirit in Akwa Ibom NAWOJ

The State Commissioner for information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong has applauded the unifying team spirit in the State Chapter of the Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, which led to the successful election of Helen Udofa as the National Secretary of the association in the just concluded ” Mina 2020″ Triennial delegates conference.
The Commissioner gave the commendation earlier today, Tuesday 24th November, 2020, in the conference room of the Ministry, when the new National Secretary was presented to him by the State Chairman of NAWOJ, Mrs Uduak Ekong in the company of the State EXCO and “Team Helen” campaign organization.
Comrade Ini Ememobong congratulated the new National Secretary, Comrade Helen Udofa, the Editor (Daily) of the Pioneer Newspaper and expressed joy and satisfaction over her victory in the election, on behalf of the State Government as well as the Management and the entire staff of the Ministry of Information and Strategy.
Reiterating that, an Akwa Ibom daughter has again reached the top at the National arena, with the position of National Secretary, few weeks after the State was blessed with a daughter occupying the position of the National President of the Nigeria Bar Association, NBA.
The Information helmsman confirmed that, the Only God mantra of Governor Udom Emmanuel worked in the successful election of Helen Udofa, stating that Governor Udom Emmanuel is proud of Helen’s victory as it symbolises the dakkada’s spirit.
He urged the National Secretary to work deligently towards meeting her set targets, advising that, she should not allow her busy National schedule to affect her official assignments in the Pioneer Newspaper.
The National Secretary in her remarks, expressed gratitude to the Information Boss and his management staff for their warm reception and the support given her towards her victory at the national elections.
On her part, the state Chairman of NAWOJ, Mrs Uduak Ekong, appreciated the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong for his goodwill stating that the support extended to the Association went a long way towards the success of the election of the National Secretary, Helen Udofa.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of a publication of the Ministry, “Impact magazine” and other branded mementos by the Commissioner to the National Secretary.
Present at the event were: the Permanent Secretary, Mr Inyang Jameson, Director of Information, Akparawa James Edet, Director of Public Relations, Mrs. Grace Akpan and Director of Strategy, Mr Joseph Etem.
Others were: the Director of Administration, Mrs. Tiuba Nduonofit, Director of Accounts, Mrs Glory Usoroh, Director of Archives, Edet Nsungwara and Head, PRS, Mr. Peter Antai.
