Ikot Ekpene Royal Fathers Hail Gov Eno, Applaud John Cleton Etim
Royal Fathers in Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area under the auspices of Conference of Village Heads have commended the State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno for working tirelessly to ensure peace and unity in the state.
The royal fathers made this commendation during their monthly security meetings with the Transition Committee Chairman at the Traditional Rulers Council hall, Ikot Ekpene.
Speaking during the meeting,the Chairman , Conference of Village Heads, Ikot Ekpene, Chief Etim Udoma Essien said the royal fathers were impressed with the leadership style of the Governor which he said had brought peace,unity and development in the state.
Chief Etim Essien who is also the Village Head of Ikot Idem said the royal fathers were thrilled by the innovative leadership of the Transition Committee Chairman of Ikot Ekpene,Sir John Cleton Etim for initiating a monthly security interface between the Chairman and royal fathers in the local government as well as the payment of monthly stipends to all Village Heads in the local government to enhance security.
Other royal fathers who acknowledged the excellent leadership of Sir John Cleton Etim included the Village Head of Ikot Udo Osung- Chief Pius Udom Udofia, Village Head of Ikot Obong Otoro- Chief Paul Wilson Akpan and the Village Head of Utu Ikpe -Eteidung David Ukpong.They described Sir John Cleton Etim as a consummate grassroot administrator who has tremendous respect for the traditional institution and pledged their continuous support and blessings to his administration.
Earlier in his speech, the Transition Committee Chairman of Ikot Ekpene,Sir John Cleton Etim who was represented by the Supervisor for Chieftaincy Matters,Esangubong Emmanuel Umoette said the monthly interface was a platform for the Council Chairman to interact with the village heads on matters relating to security and development of the rural areas.
He charged the monarchs to prioritize peace and security of their domains.
He said the Transition Committee will continue to accord the traditional institution it’s deserved respect and support.
The meeting had in attendance a cross section of Village Heads in the local government and the Secretary of Traditional Rulers Council (TRC) Ikot Ekpene, Elder Anietie Augustine Udo
