IKOT EKPENE PARAMOUNT RULER GIVES ROYAL BLESSING TO TC CHAIRMAN
The Paramount Ruler of Ikot Ekpene, HRM Okuku Okon Udo Ukut has given his blessing to the Transition Committee Chairman of the Local Government,Sir John Cleton Etim saying he remains a good choice for the Local Government.
The Paramount Ruler stated this when he received the Chairman in his palace today.
He promised to work with the new leadership of the Local Government for the good of the residents of the area. Okuku Ukut confirmed that he will be on the Ikot Ekpene delegation to the Ikot Ekpene Day at the Akwa Ibom State organised Christmas Village in Uyo later in the week.
Speaking during the visit, the Transition Committee Chairman,Sir John Etim said he was at the palace to pay homage to the monarch and also seek his fatherly prayers and blessings while also acquainting the monarch on some programmes of government.
Sir John Etim assured the Paramount Ruler of his determination to work hard to sustain the peace and security of Ikot Ekpene which will jumpstart the economy of the Raffia City.
He called on royal fathers,youths, elders and women to collaborate with the council for the good of all.
He used the occasion to invite the monarch to the forthcoming Ikot Ekpene Day at the ongoing Christmas Village in Uyo on Thursday,14th December.
Accompanying the Chairman on the visit were some Transition Committee members, including Obong Emmanuel Umoette,Hon Uduak Udiok among others.
The Transition Committee Chairman also paid similar visit to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Ikot Ekpene
