IKOT-EKPENE FIRST LADY DISTRIBUTES GIFT ITEMS, CASH TO WIDOWS
Wife of Ikot-Ekpene Local Government Transition Committee Chairman, Mrs. Utibe John Etim, yesterday celebrated her birthday by putting smiles on the faces of some widows in the Local Government Area.
At the occasion, 24 widows were appreciated with gift items and cash by the First Lady.
The 24 widows were drawn from the 12 AKISIEC ward of Ikot Ekpene.
Presenting the items, Mrs. Utibe Etim said the gesture was her own way of identifying with the downtrodden, and urged the beneficiaries not to lose hope in life no matter the situation they find themselves, assuring of God’s mercies.
Receiving the items, the beneficiaries who were full of appreciation, thanked the Ikot-Ekpene First Lady for remembering them, and prayed God to reward her effort.
