Idongesit Nkanga: UNIUYO management condoles with deceased family
The Management of University of Uyo has paid a condolence to the family of Late Air Commodore (Otuekong) Idongesit Nkanga, a former military administrator in Akwa Ibom State at his country home, Ikot Nya, Nsit Ibom Local Government Area.
They were received by Mrs. Funmi Idongesit-Nkanga and other members of the family.
In his message, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Nyaudoh Ndaeyo on behalf of the Staff and Students of the Institution stated that they came to console the entire family over the demise of a man who sacrificed himself and time for Akwa Ibom State, Niger Delta and Nigeria at large.
“The news of his demise came to us as a surprise especially at the time his services were needed most based on his wealth of experience in leadership,” he said.
Prof Nadeyo urged the family to consoled by the fact the Late Idongesit Nkanga lived a fulfilled life, adding that only God can comfort them at this time of grief and prayed that the family shall not experience such a pathetic loss again.
On his part, Mr. Ekanikpong Nkanga, the younger brother of the deceased, on behalf of the family, thanked the Vice-Chancellor and his team for the condolence visit.
In her response, Mrs. Funmi Idongesit-Nkanga, Wife of the deceased, appreciated the Vice-Chancellor and his Management Team for creating time to identify with the family at the moment of grief and wished them success in all their endeavors.
Prayers were offered by the Registrar and Deputy Vice Chancellor Academic, for the Family and intrecede against untimely death and funeral ceremony.
The Vice-Chancellor later signed the Condolence Register and consoled Pa Okon Nkanga, father of the deceased.
