Ibom Fadama Microfinance Bank set for inauguration, business operation
A new Bank that will cater for the needs of micro, small and medium scale enterprises, boost investment drive of the citizens and strengthen the private sector economy, will hit the business and financial market of Akwa Ibom State this week.
The Bank, known as Ibom Fadama Microfinance Bank Limited, is set to commence business on Friday 28th January, 2022. It has the vision of becoming a pace setter in Microfinance banking.
The Bank, situated at No 3 Udotong Ubo Street, Uyo, will be formally commissioned by the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel to commence full Microfinance banking business.
According to the Managing Director of the Bank, Imaobong Michael Etuk, Ibom Fadama Microfinance Bank Limited is set to provide solutions to entrepreneurs, farmers and those doing business at the lowest level of the society. However, in keeping with its name, the Bank will pay special attention to farmers in Akwa Ibom State.
Speaking to newsmen in her office, the MD/CEO said: “Our focus is to help small businesses and households grow on a sustainable basis. As a Microfinance banking institution, we understand the economic challenges of small businesses and are prepared to help them overcome these challenges and grow their investments steadily and sustainably.” The Bank will also provide investment opportunities to individuals, salary earners and organizations by way of Deposit and loan products.
