Governor Otu Offers Condolences to Kwara Governor Over Chief of Staff’s Death
The Cross River State Governor, Prince Bassey Edet Otu, has expressed his condolences to his Kwara State counterpart, Malam Abdul Rahman AbdulRazaq, over the passing of his Chief of Staff, Alhaji Abdukadir Mahe.
In a message of sympathy, Governor Otu described the loss as “irreparable” and reminded those grieving that life and death remain in the hands of God. “It is from God we come and to Him we shall all return,” the governor stated.
The Cross River governor extended his heartfelt prayers, asking the Almighty to comfort Governor AbdulRazaq, the deceased’s family, and the people of Kwara State, granting them the strength to endure the profound loss.
“On behalf of the government and the people of Cross River State, please accept our heartfelt condolences,” Otu said.
The condolence statement, issued by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nsa Gill, also revealed that the tragic incident occurred while Governor AbdulRazaq was in Calabar. The Kwara governor and his Kogi State counterpart were in Cross River’s capital to jointly inaugurate the 2024 Carnival Calabar celebrations.
