Fraud Allegation: Akwa Ibom State Govt “lied” again
The Chairman, Akwa Ibom State All Progressives Congress (APC) National Youth Caucus, Mr Iniobong John has described the Akwa Ibom State Government’s refutal of the recent media report accusing the state government of extra budgetary spendings contained in the 2019 annual financial report as another “lie” to cover up the first “lies”
This was contained in a release by the State Caucus Chairman, titled: Fraud Allegation: AKSG is telling more ‘lies’
The release reads in full:
“When you tell one lie, you’ll be forced to tell more lies to defend and sustain. That is exactly what is happening to the Akwa Ibom State Government in explaining the fraud discovered in the Account General’s Annual report and Audited financial statement for 2019.
“The claim by the Commissioner for Information that the figures contained in the report were typographical errors are, to say the least, funny ,childish and laughable.The government is running out of lies.
“The government is not only cluelessness and rudderless,it is also fantastically corrupt and a nest of imprudent looters.Anything being done or undertaken by the government is used as a conduit pipe to siphon public funds.
“Those who used to say that Udom Emmanuel is a prudent and honest manager of public funds should now hide their ugly faces in shame.
“The press release by the Commissioner for Information is a bunch of simple and compound lies and should be disregarded by the public.“
