I am 70% ready for FIFA’S International Referees Fitness Test
Ahead of FIFA’s International Referees fitness and medical tests billed for next week, FIFA International Referee, Anietie Ferdinand Udoh says he is seventy percent ready for the exercise.
Anietie Ferdinand Udoh told newsmen that the tests which involve checks on referee’s fitness and medical capacities will take place Tuesday and Wednesday next week in Abuja.
According to the Akwa Ibom born FIFA badged Referee, whoever fails the fitness tests ceases to remain in the FIFA Panel until there is an opportunity for him to return to FIFA list.
The referee explained that successful referees will not only remain in the FIFA’s Panel but will have opportunities to officiate FIFA International games and undergo FIFA courses.
Anietie Ferdinand Udoh said he has been training intensively to merit FIFA’s approval.
On her part, FIFA Assistant Referee, Mfon Akpan explained that she has undergone rigorous training to meet up with the criteria set up by FIFA for referees.
Mfon Akpan who has won several awards in the course of her refereeing career listed sprinting, warm up, short race, endurance race among others as some aspects involved in the training to prepare her for the fitness and medical tests in Abuja.
The female referee said though it is demanding to be a FIFA referee, she enjoys the work because it was her dreamed career.
