As Controversy trails FFK’s visit to Akwa Ibom
The last may not have been heard about the controversial visit of Mr Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) to Akwa Ibom State as criticism and controversy have trailed the former minister’s tour.
The latest in the series is from the National Youth Caucus of the All Progressive Congress, APC who alleged that trip embarked by Chief Femi Fani-Kayode (FFK) is bankrolled by Akwa Ibom State Government.
The group stated this in a release signed by the Akwa Ibom State, Chairman, APC National Caucus, Mr Iniobong John and sighted by Morenews.
The statement entitled “Visit of FFK: Before we are deceived” reads:
“The trip of Mr Femi Fani Kajode (sic) to the state is being bankrolled by the inept and rudderless government in the state for very obvious purpose.
“We don’t need a Femi Fani Kajode (sic) to tell us how the government has performed. It is crystal clear that the government is a colossal failure. Its ineptitude is inexplicable and indefensible.
“As indigenes and residents of the state,we have first hand information on the failed and abandoned across the state.
“We know of the two or three poorly executed road projects that had been caved in or washed away by rain.
“The government has failed irredeemably.A stage-managed project site inspection or press conference by FFK or any other person or group of persons cannot be used to scam Akwa Ibomites.
“Two years and eight months to the end of the tenure of the administration,it cannot boast of one signature project.
“We urge Akwa Ibomites to remain calm and watch how FFK would act the script.”
The Former Aviation Minister, Chief Fmei Fani-Kayode arrived Akwa Ibom yesterday night and was received by the State Governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel.
FFK was seen in a viral video verbal attack a Daily Trust Correspondent in Calabar for asking him who bankroll his states trip.
Meanwhile, the Akwa Ibom State Council of Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) has ordered members to boycott FFK’s Press Conference and other activities in the state.
