Essien Udim Councillors-elect pledge loyalty, support to incoming Chairman
Essien Udim Councillors-elect have pledged their unalloyed loyalty and support to the Chairman-elect of the council, Hon Anthony Luke Udoh to succeed in his administration.
The Councillors expressed optimism that the Chairman will continue to carry the legislature along in his administration when inaugurated.
They also promised to ensure a safe and conducive atmosphere for the Chairman to succeed in his administration, pledging to ensure a cordial executive and lagislative relationship for peace, progress and development of Essien Udim.
“You’ve always made us proud and we have no doubt that we will succeed together in this administration.
“We thank you for always recognizing us and also according us our due respect as partners in the development of Essien Udim.
“We are looking forward to having a very favourable working relationship with you after your inauguration and we pray God to protect and keep you for Essien Udim, the councillor-elect noted.
In his remarks, the Chairman-elect, Rt Hon. Anthony Luke Udo thanked the Councillors for their support so far and assured them of better days after their inauguration into office.
The Chairman-elect charged the councillors to be creative and think of how to create impact in their Wards within the first one year in office, adding that his administration will be people-oriented.
He admonished them to be magnanimous in their victory especially by giving back to the society, stressing that the best legacy any leader can leave is to impart on people’s lives.
Udo who said his administration will focus on the welfare of the people also promised to reposition the local government council by making it a model in the state.
