Essien Udim council boss begins rural roads grading
In a bid to make rural communities more accessible to citizens, the Transition Chairman of Essien Udim, Dr Anthony Luke has flagged off rural roads grading across the LGA.
The Chairman while flagging off the exercise recently stated that the grading was to reshape and compact the roads to reduce lumps and bumps for smooth ride.
According to him, the exercise is in line with Governor Umo Eno’s ARISE Agenda which centered on rural development and infrastructural renaissance in Akwa Ibom State.
He noted that the graded roads would link communities together in the area and will enhance infrastructural and socio-economic development while making life meaningful for the residents and further easing the transportation of agricultural produce to markets.
The Chairman called on the people to cooperate with the workers and give them the necessary support to get the work done for the benefit of the entire Essien Udim people.
