Whereas, in COFFIE’s policy statement and promises to all Akwa lbomite, Agriculture will be a focal point that will be driven towards self-sufficiency in food crops , livestock productions, food prices reductions, and maximize agricultural value chain development.. This will instigate Agricultural revolution that will be achieved through a relaunch of community palm smallholders scheme, to cultivate mega hectares of high-yielding improved variety of palm trees across the state. The Cultivation of cash crops and food crops will compliment the establishment of at least 10 numbers 3 -tier community owned agro-processing-based cottage industries in each LGA.
Most of Medium scale Industries will utilize waste/by -products from Agriculture.
COFFIE will facilitate the establishment of agricultural land collaborations through cooperatives and JV’s amongst farmers to access funds.
EMEN COFFIE ‘s industrialization policies for Akwa lbom is second to non. He will definitely establish a mix of 500 small , medium and large scale industries across the state that will generate 30,000 direct and 200,000 indirect jobs within the first 2 years of his administration. The Industries will be run on a PPP model and profit shared to all Tiers of Government, Investors and Local Government/Clans and Families/Individuals. Parastatals shall be created to manage and monitor activities of these industries leading to increases business activities and employment.
However, the Industries in the LGA’s be powered on Captive power generated closest to the industries in each LGA and with host communities benefiting from any excess power generated.
In addition, a one-stop industrial park will be built by Coffie at Strategic locations in each senatorial district to house numerous companies involved in the industrialization project.
Also, COFFIE ‘s government will partner with the Federal government of Nigeria and private investors to set-up an integrated municipal solid waste management facility at strategic locations in the 3 senatorial districts for proper waste management and also power generation.
With COFFIE’s educational background and professionalism, education in Akwa Ibom state is his utmost priority by sustaining and improving the free and compulsory education for all Akwa Ibom children in primary and secondary school. Every child shall be entitled to the compulsory Vocational Training Programmes that will be present in each primary and secondary School irrespective of their choice of educational engagements . This will be achieved by splitting of the educational ministry into two separate and independent ministries, namely, the Ministry of Formal education and that of the Vocational/Technical/Apprenticeship education. Vocational and Skill acquisition centres will be established in all the Local government areas. COFFIE will also establish at least one Technical College in each of the Federal Constituency and at least a Specialized University of Marine, Science and Technology in each of the Senatorial district in the state . students from Akwa Ibom state will benefit from an increased bursary purse per session in all the tertiary institutions.
Engr Emem COFFIE will give soft long term funds and grants to over one million traders , women and men to increase their capacity in their small and medium scale business per ward and appoint extension officers to assist them grow their businesses.
COFFIE will ensure the renovation of schools across the state for conducive learning environment for both teachers and students while implementing proper incentives/motivations for teachers by addressing their welfare needs.
In housing, COFFIE being a professional Civil Engineer, will provide Civil Servants, retirees, low-profile , medium and high-profile Akwa Ibomite residential housing estates in all federal constituencies. He will create an enabling environment for investors by ensuring the security of lives and properties. Akwa Ibom Geographical Information System that will Chart and place higher values on our land ( through Issuance of C of O) as equity in Facilitating Joint Ventures both in Housing developments and Agricultural development shall be established.
Engr COFFIE’s Government will immediately commence payment of all outstanding Pensions and gratuities and place a higher value of our Civil Service and reward system.
