The Ebonyi State Government said it has mapped out N4 billion for civil and public servants in the state to engage in agriculture.
The State government is also working in concert with the Solid Mineral Development Fund, SMDF, to develop some of her natural resources into finished products.
State officials revealed this during a media chat with journalists in Abakaliki, the State capital on Monday.
The media chat was aimed at informing the public on the state government’s policies, programmes and projects particularly within the last five years of Governor Dave Umahi administration.
The event was part of activities marking the October first twin anniversaries of Nigeria’s 60th Independence day, and the 24th year of the creation of Ebonyi State.
Top on the discourse were the issues pertaining to agriculture, education as well the investment drive of the state government.
The State Governor, Dave Umahi, was represented at the event by the Secretary to the Ebonyi State Government, Kenneth Ugbala.
