Day six in office: Essien Udim Council boss presents car gift to PDP Ward Chairman, says he is in a hurry to transform the area.
The Chairman, Essien Udim Local Government Area, Mr Anthony Luke has donated a car gift to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Okon Ward Chairman, Mr Paul Clement six days after resuming office.
The Chairman who made the donation during the Solemnization of Holy Matrimony of Mr Clement and his heart throb, Mary at St Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, Ikot Ekpene thanked him for believing in him and also standing by him during the last local government elections.
Luke who stated that he is in a hurry to deliver dividends of democracy to Essien Udim people solicited the fervent prayers of the Church for the new administration to succeed in repositioning Essien Udim.
Recall that this is the second donation the Chairman has made since he was sworn in as the substantive chairman of the council on the 7th of December 2020.
He has donated a mini-water project to Adiasim people recently and promised to complete the project in few weeks time.
Luke said the Ward Chairman stood by him and supported him whole heartedly even when it was difficult for him.m to do so.
The Council boss wish Mr Clement and his wife fruitful and rewarding marriage charging them to love themselves and also look up to God for direction instead of bringing third parties into their marriage.
The Chairman promised to reward the PDP family in Essien Udim for their love and trust in him to fly the party’s flag during the last Local Government Elections in the state as he also vowed not to let the party down in the area.
He reiterated his administration’s readiness to develop and transform Essien Udim for the benefit of all her indigenes.
While presenting the car key to Mr and Mrs Paul Clement on behalf of the Chairman, the political leader of Okon Ward, Dr Lambert Udoh commended the Chairman, Mr Anthony Luke for living up to his expectation and stressed that Essien Udim never had it so good.
The former State Chairman of the defucnt National Republican Convention (NRC) said the Chairman has thought people that loyalty has rewards and charged other politicians to emulate Mr Luke’s example by giving back to the society after elections.
The political leader noted that if the Chairman could achieve this height with zero allocation, then he will transform Essien Udim in earnest when things work well.
He called on people to support Luke’s administration for the benefit of Essien Udim.
