Davido: Sen Akpabio tasks wealthy Nigerians on humanitarian services
Senator Godswill Akpabio, Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, has urged rich individuals in the society to follow David Adedeji Adeleke aka Davido’s humanitarian gesture, and join hands with him in his quest to make life meaningful for the underprivileged in the community.
The minister stated this when the young music icon paid him a visit at his Abuja residence.
Mr. Jackson Udom, his Chief Press Secretary, cited the former governor of Akwa Ibom State as saying “let me commend you on the N250 million humanitarian donations to the less privileged in the society. I also commend you for joining other like minds in the society to touch and positively affect the lives of the less privileged in our society.”
Recalled that the Nigerian music artist recently announced the donation of the 250million naira raised for him by friends for his birthday to orphanages in the country as charity.
This act of charity has generated a lot of comments from Nigerians who see the gesture by the artist as “rare”
