Curfew in Akwa Ibom now 10pm to 7am
The statewide curfew imposed in Akwa Ibom by Governor Udom Emmanuel has been reviewed to start from 10pm to 7am daily.
This was contained in a press release signed by the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong and sighted by Morenews.ng
The release reads:
“Following the comprehensive review of the security situation in the state and advice from the security agencies, His Excellency the Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Udom Emmanuel has directed that the Curfew earlier imposed by the State Government be reviewed to start from 10pm till 7am daily, effective today, Monday 2nd November, 2020. A further review will be undertaken in due course.
“The Governor appreciates the entire citizens for their cooperation and understanding throughout the period of the restriction and deeply regrets the inconveniences that the curfew may have caused citizens.
The Governor remains unwaveringly committed to the protection of lives and property of her citizens at all times and circumstances.“
