Cross River lawmaker empowers constituents, reiterates commitment to poverty alleviation
Cross River State House of Assembly member representing Yakurr – 1 Constituency, Hon. Cyril Omini in a brief ceremony at his home office on Monday presented a brand new Motorcycle to one of his constituency members, Mr. Ubi Ofem Bassey.
In presenting the motorbike, the MP urged the recipient to use the symbolic gift wisely, while reaffirming its commitment to eradicating poverty, creating jobs, and, sponsoring bills that will positively impact the lives of their in the area.
He said” This donation is another testification of my desire to uplift my Constituents and make them self-dependent financially, therefore, I appeal to the recipient of this token gift to make judicious use of it and empower himself”
In the way about a week ago, Hon. Omini donated five Solar-Power lights to Ugep General Hospital to meet the needs of the people.
Similarly, he donated one million nairas to a member of his constituents, Mr. Stephen Bassey Ofor who was diagnosed with liver enlargement and needed urgent medical attention.
Meanwhile, his unwavering supports to the members of his constituents at the time of need will further propels him to forefront as one of the emerging legislators committed to fulfill his electoral promise to his people.
