Court stops Akwa Ibom LG Polls:
The Akwa Ibom State High Court presided over by the State Chief Judge, Justice Godwin Abraham had granted the prayers by Hon Uwem Udoma of the All Progressive Congress restraining Akwa Ibom Independence Electoral Commission (AKISIEC) from conducting LGA elections in the State till the determination of the suit.
The court gives the state Independence Electoral Commission (AKISIEC) 7 days to respond to issues bothering on the legality of creation of new wards.
