Comrade Ini Ememobong tags Akwa Ibom Nigeria’ success story in good governance:
Akwa Ibom is Nigeria’s success story in Good Governance as evidenced in the efficient State administration by Governor Udom Emmanuel.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong stated this early today, Monday 10th August, 2020 in Uyo during a working tour of the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA Channel 12, Uyo.
Comrade Ini Ememobong said, Akwa Ibom State has remained a pride to Nigeria in governance with the unparalleled achievements recorded by the Governor in all sectors such as Health, with the successes recorded in the management of COVID-19 cases as well as in the priority accorded to the health sector in general.
The Information helmsman said, the commitment and foresightedness of Governor Udom Emmanuel in the health sector particularly is manifested in the proactive measures taken by the Governor at all stages of his administration beginning from his first 100 days in office.
Reiterating that the State COVID-19 test center is adjudged one of the best in Nigeria, Comrade Ini Ememobong said the fatality rate of COVID-19 patients is very low, a clear testimony of the huge investment in state-of-the-art health facilities put in place in the state by the Governor for the Management of cases and in the general healthcare delivery for the people of the state.
He charged the Nigeria Television Authority Channel 12 Uyo to project these achievements of Akwa Ibom State Government including the stride in the aviation industry as the only State Government with its own airline Ibomair which is receiving national and global accolades.
The State Spokesman harped on the need for effective collaboration between NTA Uyo and the Ministry and indeed the State Government for mutual benefits as dependable partners in development vis-a-vis effective strategic communication of government activities and programmes to the outside world.
He pledged Government’s support at all times emphasizing that Governor Udom Emmanuel is committed to the growth and protection of NTA 12 Uyo as demonstrated by Governor Udom Emmanuel when he personally visited and reached out to the station during the last mayhem inflicted on the station by some disgruntled members of the public.
While urging all corporate entities to de-emphasize indigineship but emphasize more on residency, the Information Boss urged NTA Uyo to pay interest to activities of Akwa Ibom its host State with prompt and positive reportage as dependable partners in the development of the state.
Earlier, the General Manager of the Nigeria Television Authority channel 12, Uyo, Mr. Ohis Aigboche, who welcomed the State Commissioner Information for Information and Strategy along with his entourage, had expressed appreciation to Governor Udom Emmanuel on the appointment of Comrade Ini Ememobong as a member of the state Executive council overseeing the Information sector of government.
Mr. Ohis Aigboche had described Comrade Ini Ememobong as a square peg in a square hole, reiterating that, the appointment of the Information Boss came at the right time when the state needed a shift in the Information machinery paradigm for heightened information management and effective bridging of the gap between the government and the Nigeria Television Authority.
He pledged strong and mutually beneficial partnership with the Ministry of Information and the state in general and solicited effective collaborations with the Ministry and indeed the State Government.
Highlight of the tour witnessed by both the Management staff of NTA and Directors of the Ministry of Information and Strategy was the presentation of Startimes Decoder and Antenna by the GM of NTA Channel 12, Uyo to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong.
