Barr Enoidem and Pieces of Peace

In the voice of Micheal de Montaigne, an influential French Renaissance Writer, “I quote others only to better express myself.” Without employing a self-tailored definition of peace, let me go full square with Merriam-Webster Dictionary which sees peace as a state of concord or tranquility. By the making of it, Merriam-Webster Dictionary also sees it as a pact or agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity.
Now let’s put peace into perspective foot-in-foot-out. Peace comes in many forms. It is procedural when in the making, melancholic when retiring and destructive when it is kept in detention or captivity. Let’s give it a rundown respectively. Peace is a very sensitive phenomenon that refuses to be treated like a piece of garbage. Peace likes recognition and decorum. Peace hates to be kept in pieces. Peace doesn’t like to see weapons. Peace hates hypocrites with passion. How would you wield weapons of deceit and call yourself a peacemaker. That has never been the laid down procedure for peace making. No way. In order to make peace, you must first of all lay down your weapons before you begin to talk peace maintenance. It shows the agreement between enemies to end hostilities and that must be done with all amount of sincerity.
Peace can be said to be in a state of retirement when it feels weak. Mind you, you can’t talk peace where war doesn’t exist or when war doesn’t break out. Also, you can’t talk about ending any war when peace isn’t invited. Therefore it is unrealistic to think that peace would not be violent when it goes into detention or captivity. Peace believes in apology and freedom. So the impossibility of looking cocky and remorseless to maintain peace that was never made is nothing but a mirage. Hate the truth and become powerless in the eyes of the law just like Daniel Webster rightly observes that there is nothing so powerful as the truth and often nothing so strange. This is indifferent in Akwa Ibom State at the moment because the government of Deacon Udom Emmanuel from inception has completely depended on lies and has used deception abusively like 10/11 spanner.
Unfortunately, It became obvious that other governments do not find lies handy anymore because Deacon Udom Emmanuel has been using it day and night in the process of servicing his greed. It has been the case right from the moment he introduced the gimmick known as ONLYGOD. With this, the governor believes he has the monopoly of lies so he uses it as a bait to catch the unsuspecting Christians. He knew that religion has eaten really deep into the fabrics of our society so to get them more brainwashed was to turn the State into an imaginary Cornfield just to keep the Christian rats closer. He likes Akwa Ibom People so much. He would always say so. Imà Akpàkpà mmè èkpù. You can now decipher why he reintroduced theocracy and killed our democracy.
How did this sleight work for him? Let’s find out.
Like an harlot would say, “use what you have to get what you want”, so do Christians. They depend on their Faith. The shortest way to lead Akwa Ibom People to the Promised Land would be by faith as a Deacon of a Church. He ascertained. That was how he turned Christian Faithfuls into Faithfools. At every fora he kept telling Akwa Ibom People, “I am your Right Hand Man just as my name implies. I am your Messiah. I am your Saviour. I am your Christ-Centric Leader so follow me and i will take you out of bondage and lead you to the Promised Land.” As a self-righteous man, he refuses to let you speak ill of him by telling his critics to mind out lest they incur the wrath of onlygod. Wearing the voice of Mummy GO and sending his critics to Hellfire makes it really scary. One of the many knuckles of religion.
So far, 7 good years have been on the countdown but the leadership philosophy has not moved a muscle except for a change of strategy. No sincerity of purpose, no demarcation between politics and governance. Publicities on achievement have outnumbered realistic projects and programs as characterised by insignificant return on investment. In all of these, who takes the blame? God i guess. It has been a government of divinity. So the onlygod governor has been the masquerade in the dark, shifting the blame to God. Do not forget that God gives power to whoever he pleases and renders the votes of the electorates in vain. Since the mandate is divine, why the leers instead of patiently waiting on God to work wonders for the people. Government of divinity headed by demons.
The ruination that came with the escapade became so overbearing in 2019 when a greater junk of Christian faithfools were hoodwinked into vote selling by the vote buyers who happen to be their common enemies. What much could they have done to resist the roguery when the Chief Executive of the State had dried them up like leaves in the harmattan season. The magnitude of regression in the survivability of the people had become overwhelming. There was so much hunger in the land yet there was no famine. A political calculation with a preempted result. The very ploy that had plunged workers into an irrecoverable indebtedness. Lots of families were unintentionally neglected by their breadwinners as a result of hardship while our pharisaical leaders were calling out already-starved citizens for faster and prayers as the only way out recession while shedding buckets of tears with a psychologically cloned empathy. They grinned to their deception and mockery once the camera disengages them. A game to retain power. So funny.
Now 2023 is around the corner and the same people gang-led by the red, meaty-lipped tyrant governor is all out to govern again by proximity when he 2-term administration finally fades away. As a greedista, he has already sampled several embodiments of aspirations ranging from Akan Okon, Udom Inoyo, Akan Udofia to Umo Eno and has heavily extorted them with the false pretence of handing over to them the mantle of leadership. Who would believe Deacon Udom Emmanuel could be this megalomaniacal despite his ingratitude to his Kingmaker, Sen. Godswill Akpabio! Now he wants to be the Kingmaker yet cowed people to believe that the emergence of next Governor of Akwa Ibom State will be divine. A self-acclaimed eye of God. The people of Akwa Ibom State being tired of having recycled hypocrites as leaders wouldn’t take it kindly with anyone who dares to impose a candidate on them for the next gubernatorial race.
Interestingly, there is so much awakening in the society and the worms are turning already. The political evolution of lies today has passed stages and the people of Akwa Ibom State are taking cognisance. Funny slogans are served in bits and pieces like meals. Udom is right, Mkpò àmà change, Yàk idàkidà and several others. The 2 unproductive terms burdened with laughable tags as though in a dog race. At first it was Industrialization Agenda and now Completion Agenda. Everyone getting his fair share of hilarity. How did we get here? No one has the answer. Even so, a fresh shenanigan has begun with the name, MAINTAIN PEACE MOVEMENT. A Succession Plan of Deacon Udom Emmanuel in disguise, dedicated by our nightmarish Fathers of Faith. A theocracy hovering with the wings of democracy. A deception of the highest order. As comic and unserious as the onlygod government has been, MAINTAIN PEACE MOVEMENT (MPM) which has been Deacon Udom Emmanuel’s latest subterfuge changed its name from PEACE MAINTENANCE MOVEMENT (PMM). What a ruse!
Few days ago, a retiree returned from her bank disappointed and depressed. With so much trauma weighing her down, she collapsed on her way back home and died while Deacon Udom Emmanuel is only concerned with his succession agenda at the detriment of our retirees after breaking their backs to serve the government for 35 uninterrupted years. The same Deacon who would not relent in telling gullible Christians that he is their Messiah. How else would a man play God? look at him! so busy feeding fat with our collective patrimony while others are suffering yet smiling because they want to go to heaven. As a Christ-Centric Leader, i had thought the onlygod governor would break silence on the N171.3 billion Derivation Fund that he has allegedly collected from the Federal Government. Perhaps, it has been used up to fund his Succession Plan ahead of 2023 election. His greatest fears has been to install the next Governor to tighten all the loose ends and deny EFCC and other Anti-Graft Forces entry into his looting scandals. Of course, he will definitely show Akwa people how the Industries he built has contributed to the GDP Growth of the State and where these industries are possibly located. Nobody befools everybody at the same time. Know this and get prepared.
The Succession Plan labeled, Maintain Peace Movement has been put on motion. The movement that will take the State to only God knows where. The question is, why is this piece in pieces? The answer is not farfetched. Just like the popular adage that says, “Only kids eat when they are not hungry” how do you expect to maintain peace in pieces. it is a funny as using a basket as a water reservoir. What a misplaced priority! Let match the situation in the state to the aforesaid peace and weigh up the correlation. certainly, there is no consonance whatsoever. All he does is feed his greed. Just like Mohandas Gandhi has righly said, “there is no way to peace, there is only peace”. It is high time you stopped attempting to move those pieces of peace about, afterall the driver of Peace Movement by Name Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem is about to officially step out of Peace Vehicle and the Pieces of Peace will be more frustrated. The last time i checked, you can’t even play Chess yet you chase power like a hungry Lion would chase an antelope.
Like the Diggerhead had always advised you without an invoice, first make peace with your conscience and the Peace Movement will take care of itself. What makes you think Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem, a typical Annang man will keep steering the movement after making his consultation for the North West Senatorial Seat last weekend a nullity? i am reliably informed that his consultation at the Deputy Governor’s House in Abak over the weekend met stiff objection. He was told to his face that it has been a tradition that whoever leads a Succession Plan of the government does not and should not run except he is already running to hell according to Mummy GO. Barr. Enoidem is feeling betrayed just the way Barr. Enoidem had betrayed his political Godfather cum his tribal brother Sen. Godswill Akpabio. What goes around comes around and Karma is already playing out. Sen. Chris Ekpeyong, who is currently representing the people of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District in the National Assembly has proven to be more experienced in politics of greed than Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem by handing him an admonition in clear terms that He Enoidem should seek for a level playing ground in advancing his political aspiration and also trade with caution as he consults ahead of 2023 election. He has also reminded him that he is still the sitting Senator and also the political leader of Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District by the virtue of his office. This has made banner headlines lately in State-based Newspaper.
In order to draw the curtain, i solicit to switch my voice once more with that of Albert Einstein by saying that “Peace cannot be kept by force; it can only be achieved by understanding.” From the look of things, Deacon Udom Emmanuel’ Succession Plan has failed on arrival as these Pieces of Peace are already wielding hatchets and hammers. Before you know, they would have broken the chains and scattered this camp of deceit. The truth dies many times but always live at last.
