ARISE PARK: GOLF COURSE, CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUND READY FOR USE AT CHRISTMAS – GOV ENO
Indications have emerged that the Children’s Recreational park at the ongoing ARISE Park will be ready for use in December 2024.
The State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, Ph.D made this known during an unscheduled visit to the Dominic Utuk Avenue, Uyo project site.
He said that the Golf course has been completed and undergoing a test-run prior to the December commissioning.
Governor Eno acknowledged that the gully erosion which was almost destroying houses in the area has been stopped from progressing and particularly appreciated the progress of work.
“There is always a very huge difference when we come here. I think the contractor is keeping to the milestone, and we are happy.
“For me, we have already achieved our primary purpose. We have stopped the gully erosion from progressing and consuming more homes and lives.
We have also been able to see the dream of having a recreational park here being archived steadily.
“For me I am happy, the contractor has assured, and I am sure he will speak for himself. In the coming Christmas season, we should commission some part of this project particularly the children’s park. We are working to achieve this in the oncoming Christmas season.
“The Golf course is ready and I understand that people have started testing and practicing. That is good news.
He commended the contractor on the pace of job execution, stressing that the firm has adapted to the vision of the recreational park project.
Lending his voice to the December deadline for the children’s park and Golf course completion, the Managing Director of Bulletine Construction Company Limited, Chief Faysal Harb said “We are moving as planned just as His Excellency has said, part of this facility will be used this December especially the Children’s playground, football field, lawn tennis, Basket and Volley ball pitches and all the sporting facility will be ready for use this December.
