Akwaibomite emerges Little Miss West Africa (Nigeria)
Emmanuella lost her dad at the age of 7 years. She fondly remembers her dad as a loving and caring man, and despite his middle income job as a store keeper in Chemiron, a drug manufaturing company, he strived to meet the needs of the family and was always doting over his wife and children. However, his demise was a major blow to the family and with no estate to fall back on and no relation capable to intervene, the burden of education and upbringing fell squarely on her mother, Mrs. Florence Ediene, who is a primary school teacher.
Like the happy mother said after Emmanuella was crowned winner of the event, “I cannot express my profound joy for Emmanuella. She is a very pretty but quiet girl. Since her toddling years, I noticed that she glides around the house like a model and is always particular about her wears and grooming. So when I heard about the competition, my mind went straight to her. “
“I was initially discouraged fearing that such event was reserved only for the rich but to God be the glory, my Emmanuella won and the organisers were not prejudiced despite Emmanuella being the child of a widower with no connection nor resources.”
Miss Emmanuella Ediene is only 13 years old, and an SS1 student of Tanikem College, Okota, Lagos State. She is a very quiet and well behaved child, and the youngest of three siblings.
Emmanuella emerged winner of the Little Miss West Africa (Nigeria) Beauty Pageant which took place at the Refresh Event Centre, Okota, Lagos State on the 23rd of September 2023.
The coronation makes her the most beautiful teenage girl in Nigeria and she will represent the country and compete against tenagers from other West African countries in the regional event schdeduled to hold in Sierra Leone on the 26th of December 2023. The winner of the regional competition will represent the region in the global finals in the United States of America.
However, Emmanuella’s trip to Sierra Leone to represent Nigeria in West African Beauty contest is threatened by funding. Her mother sponsored Emmanuella through the preliminary stages of the competition to the national finals but she cannot afford to sponsor her to Sierra Leone.
Emmanuella, the brand new Little Miss West Africa (Nigeria) is therefore soliciting sponsorship from the Akwa Ibom State government and other well meaning Nigerians to fund the trip.
There is no gainsaying that many benefits are attached to the beauty pageant. A connection with teenagers to show them positive ways of doing things in this era of moral decadence is an important factor. The nation and its people will also benefit from the accolades, economic and social opportunities, and a general lesson in self discipline and self esteem. The Bible in Proverbs 22:6 states, ”Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
The child requires Five Million Naira for the trip and any contribution to the following account owned by her mother would be well received and acknowledged: Florence Aniedu Ediene (Mother of Emmanuella Aniedu), Access Bank, 0043444351. You can further contact Mrs. Florence Ediene on 09014294596.
