Akwa Ibom PDP: You are the Champions of our party – Udo Ekpenyong lauds Chapter, Ward Chairmen
… Urges them to uphold virtues of discipline and total loyalty to the party
The chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Akwa Ibom State, Obong Udo Ekpenyong, has applauded chapter and ward chairmen of the party in the state, for their role in enchrenching the ideals of party at the grassroots level, describing them as champions of the party.
In a meeting with the chapter and ward chairmen in Uyo, Thursday December, 3, 2020, Obong Ekpenyong, expressed commended them, holding that the strength of the party in the state lies in the structures at the chapter and ward levels. He specially lauded their efforts in the build up to the recently held local government elections and the elections proper.
The state PDP chair further acknowledged the peaceful conduct of the local government elections, crediting the atmosphere to the responsible attitude of the party faithful at the polls. He stated that it reflected the peaceful disposition of Akwa Ibom people.
He seized the opportunity to appreciate Governor Udom Emmanuel for what he described as strategic support to the party which he said has continued to “strengthen the party and deepen its taproot in the Akwa Ibom State political soil.”
Ekpenyong admonished the chapter and ward chairmen on the promotion of the ethos of the party, discouraging them from counter productive actions and activities that are not in line with the Constitution of the party.
He assured them of a good working relationship while serving as chairman of the party in the state.
