Akwa Ibom NUJ: Federated Chapel Condoles family of late Emmanuel Effiong
The Federated Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Akwa Ibom State Council, has condoled with the family of late Comrade Emmanuel Effiong over his demise.
The late Emmanuel Effiong, a former Chairman of the Chapel was until his death, the Chief Press Secretary to the Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aniekan Bassey.
Describing the sudden death of the Comrade as a huge loss to the Chapel and Union, as well as his biological family, the visiting team, led by Comrade Nsibiet John, Chairman of the Chapel asked the family to be consoled by the fact that the deceased lived a life of impact.
“It is a very sad moment. We cannot question God when things like this happen. God knows everything and His in control”, he said.
The Chapel Leader assured the family of the Union’s support throughout their moment of grief and urged the family to move on irrespective of how painful the succeeding steps may be.
Receiving the team, Pastor Ben Effiong, brother to the deceased appreciated the Chapel for identifying with them in their moment of grief.
He expressed that the visit was an indication that the deceased had lived a life of influence and goodwill within his social circle.
While soliciting the prayers and concerns of the Union for their family, Pastor Effiong assured that funeral arrangements for the late Comrade would be made known to them in due course.
