Following observed competence in business management and transformation, the Akwa Ibom Business Community has inaugurated the Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Pastor Umo Eno as their Chairman, Board of Trustees.
Addressing a delegation of the AIBC at the inauguration yesterday, October 21, 2021, the Commissioner commended the AIBC for finding him fit to work with them for the betterment of the business community and the State in general.
He lauded the body for their trainings and skill acquisition programmes which he said were in line with the transformational philosophy of Governor Udom Emmanuel.
Pastor Umo Eno himself an accomplished entrepreneur emphasized on the importance of growing the business sector adding that the Governor Udom Emmanuel led administration was committed to assisting and improving the lot of entrepreneurs and the general business community in the State.
He mentioned some of the moves in the said direction to include the accelerated release of Certificate of Occupancy especially for business men to enable them access facilities for ease of doing business, among others.

Pastor Umo Eno who began the Royalty Group about 25 years ago with few rooms and nurtured it to a class of international recognition, advised the AIBC to go beyond the trainings and skill empowerments to playing a supervisory role to the trainees and their new businesses.
The Lands and Water Resources Commissioner said it is his desire to support the business community to a level of international repute and pledged to put in his best as the BOT Chairman for the all round growth of the community.
Earlier in his remarks, the President General of Akwa Ibom Business Community, Hon. Lordswill Umani noted that the choice of Pastor Umo Eno as their BOT Chairman is premised on his pedigree in the business world.
He recalled with delight the transformational process of the Royalty Group which according to him, metamorphosed from five rooms to a world class hospitality outfit.
Hon. Lordswill who narrated the impact of the AIBC in the areas of trainings and business guide, named other members of the BOT to include; Senator Aloysius Etok, and Pastor Imoabasi Jacob.
