I needed to see the much touted examination so I resorted to burning my data so as to follow the live streaming since there’s no light in my area to use the television set. well, after the whole show, I actually learnt some things from the entire exercise and I’ll share them with you.
INTEGRITY OF THE COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN AND SOME MEMBERS:
I can boldly put it from the look of things that if the Chairman and some members of that committee are to be put into integrity test, they wouldn’t score up to 40%. Their actions and questioning manners were more of bullying than cross-examination. That can be deduced from their asking and repeatition of many sentimental questions such as on the legality of IMC, why a medical doctor should be a director of budget, why Joi Nunieh was relieved of her duty etc. I also wonder why they were always asking him to be mute whenever he attempted to answer their questions bluntly, could it have been fear of being implicated? The forensic audit result will take care of that.
RECORD KEEPING HABIT:
Virtually everything the minister said were backed up with records for references. At least no one can alter whatever is on black and white. They would have easily caught him where they so desired if those records weren’t there. I actually admire that. It’s something we all should emulate.
THEIR REAL INTENTION:
Since a lot of them are culprits, they so desired a loophole to hold on to hence, their repeated questions on 80billion which explanation had been given by the minister time without number. Why they were so much interested in the activities of the Ministry/commision for the past one year without mentioning previous years is still a thing of wonder to me. Well, I hope the forensic audit result also takes care of the rest of the revelation.
That was unprecedented. Aside his confidence and knowledgibility, I also admired how he referenced the president in all his dealings. This indicates that he had been making frequent reports to the presidency, implying that his intentions are genuine ones. That was worthy of emulation and I will do just that.
CONVICTION AND LEGALITY:
He had his facts, records, and answers ready. He was able to nutmeg them even when they least expected and just like Pontius Pilate of the yore would say, “they found no fault on him”. I hope the ‘crucify him’ crooners will now rest.
My name is Joshua Osung and I had a swell time watching a man I can boldly describe as a true technocratic politician.
What next?
