Akase graces book presentation in honour of Benue First Lady
Governorship aspirant on the Peoples Democratic Party platform in Benue State, Mr Terver Akase Tuesday (December 21) joined other prominent sons and daughters of the State to witness the public presentation of the book titled: “Eunice Spring of Life Foundation: Establishment, Development and Impact” written in honour of wife of the Governor, Dr Mrs Eunice Ortom.
Speaking while launching the book, the PDP 2023 guber hopeful lauded the vision of the First Lady in giving hope to the vulnerable and downtrodden through the life changing activities of her Foundation.
Mr Akase acknowledged that the ESLF has continued to impact positively on the lives of less privileged persons across the State and called for sustained support to the Foundation from all good spirited persons and corporate bodies.
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom described the book as historic and commended the authors of the book for the wonderful literary work, praying God to bless them.
Governor Ortom praised his wife for tremendously impacting his life, saying she remains a source of inspiration and encouragement, stressing that Dr Eunice is a great companion who has added value to his administration through activities of her Foundation.
Earlier in a remark, the First Lady and Founder of ESLF, Dr Mrs Ortom appreciated the book editors and contributors for the honour done her by packaging the literature to further promote the efforts of her Foundation.
She praised Governor Ortom for always supporting her initiatives.
The event which held at the Conference Hall of Doo Palace Hotel, Makurdi had in attendance, Deputy Governor, Engr Benson Abounu and his wife, Justice Mary Abounu, Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Titus Uba.
Also in attendance were the Chief of Staff to Governor, Dr Tivlumun Nyitse, Secretary to the State Government, Prof Tony Ijohor, SAN, Head of Service, Mrs Veronica Onyeke among others.
The book which was reviewed by Prof Zara Kwaghe of the Federal University of Lafia, Nasarawa State is a collection of Essays and Presentations edited by Professor Member E. George-Genyi and Dr Elijah Terdoo Ikpanor both of the Benue State University, Makurdi.
